GCSE Exam Entry for Private & External Candidates
Why Your GCSE Results Matter
GCSEs remain the qualification that opens or closes doors — to sixth form, college, apprenticeships and employment. Getting a genuine, board-recognised certificate matters just as much for a private candidate as for a school pupil.
A Gateway to the Next Step
Sixth forms, colleges and training providers set GCSE grade requirements as standard entry criteria. Without a formal certificate from an awarding body, progression routes such as A-Levels or BTECs can simply be unavailable to you.
Maths and English Are Non-Negotiable
Most employers, colleges and universities treat a grade 4 or above in Mathematics and English Language as a baseline requirement. Entering as a private candidate is often the most direct way to fill that gap.
GCSE Subjects Offered to External Candidates
We accept external GCSE entries in the subjects we teach in-house, so our tutors and exams team can support you all the way to exam day. Cards marked in gold also run a November series.

Facilities Built Around Exam Success

On-Site Science Laboratory
Our own laboratory is available for Science practical work, useful if you want hands-on practice before your Combined or Triple Science papers.
PhD-Qualified Tutors
If you'd like revision support alongside your entry, our subject tutors hold postgraduate qualifications and can help you target problem areas.
Small Group Revision
Optional revision sessions are capped at 5 students, so any support you book stays focused and personal.
Quiet, Supervised Conditions
Exams are sat under proper invigilation in a calm room, away from the noise and pressure of a full school exam hall.
Resit Support
A large proportion of our external candidates are resitting a GCSE they've already sat once. We make the process straightforward.
No Need to Re-Enrol at Your Old School
Once you've left school or college, going back to resit through your previous centre can be awkward or simply impossible. We register you directly, discreetly, and without any need to explain your circumstances to anyone but us.
Targeted Revision, Not a Repeated Year
Resitting doesn't have to mean relearning everything from scratch. We can arrange focused tutoring on the topics and exam technique most likely to move your grade.
Exam Series & Timing
GCSEs are primarily a summer qualification, but AQA, Edexcel and OCR also run a smaller November series for two subjects.
Planning a resit? Entry deadlines are set by the exam boards and vary each series. Contact our exams team and we'll confirm the exact dates and fees for your subject.
